History
Situated in the west of Melbourne the children come from a diverse multi-cultural and socio-economical background. Indeed there are 47 different ethnic backgrounds represented in the school. Our major ethnic groups are from Vietnam, Philippines, Malta and Croatia.The children number is 620 and for learning purposes are at present broken into twenty-one classes :- consisting of straight classes.Within their class groupings the teachers use :-peer group teaching, cross-age tutoring, team teaching, co-operative learning and negotiated curriculum to enhance the learning process.

Description
In 1971 Holy Eucharist Primary School was established by the Sisters of Mercy in St. Albans South. It was built as an open area school and it is this philosophy that still has an influence upon the School Mission Statement. The building was refurbished under grants from the Federal Government in 1993.

Features
Holy Eucharist offers many special programs including a computer lab with access to the internet, Mandarin, a comprehensive literacy program i.e. First Steps P-6 and CLASS P-2, After and Before School Care Program, Reading Recovery, a camping program P-6, a developmental and sequential Physical Education Program, Intergration Program- for those eligable and a Integrated / Negotiated Curriculum.
