RECONCILIATION

RECONCILIATION

Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So, he said to the paralysed man, “Get up, take your mat and go home” (Luke 5:23-24).

We are human beings who are not perfect. We admit our wrong choices in which we hurt ourselves and others.

To make things better, to heal the break, we ask God’s mercy and grace. Through the priest, God offers us forgiveness.

Saint John Paul II forgives the man who tried to assassinate him. How often must I forgive my brother? Seven times? Jesus replied not seven but 70 time seven.
